YES WE DID

I can’t explain how happy I was last night when CNN announced that Barack Obama would be the next president of these United States of America! My friends and I were gathered around the TV listening as they counted the states and one by one it made it harder and harder for mcain to win this election. I really felt a sense of piece for this country as I was watching Barack Obama give his speach last night. There were tears and celebration all around the world but I can tell you that this blogger could not be happier! I feel that this really is our first election 2.0 and president 2.0 and I feel proud to be a part of this internet generation who, for the first time, did show up at the polls and got out there and voted!
I am overjoyed! Now many of you know that I normally do not like to talk politics so I promise to return to your usually scheduled tech programming shortly. But for right now, I am happy and thankful to God that this country is starting to get back into shape.
On a quick tech note, I wrote this post on one of my new favorite iPhone apps, sideways. You should check it out. It makes typing really easy on the iphone esspecially when typing long emails or messages.

    First off, there was no change in youth voter turnout in comparison to 2004. The numbers were identical.

    Number two, I bet you can’t even name one Obama policy and if you can, you have no idea the effects it will have on the country. We’ll see how you feel in a year or so when Obama forces people 18-25 (which includes you) to “volunteer” your spring break to community service.

    Have fun with socialism. Once you get smarter and older, you’ll change your mind on politics because it’s quite obvious you don’t have a flippin’ clue as it is.
