Most kids get their first experience of moving out of the house when they go away to college. But for those of us who stayed home from school, deciding when to finally leave can be difficult.
Next week I am moving to Philadelphia for a contract job with Comcast. I will be overseeing the production of a series of tutorial videos for comcast.net
While I am excited for my new job, this means I have to move out of the house I have lived in for most of my life. And the room I have lived in for 7 years.
Today I started the task of cleaning out my room and boy did I find some interesting stuff. The hardest part of all this is deciding what memories are really important.
Sure I loved Spring Awakening, but do I really need to keep the playbill? Sure it’s nice having saved all my back issues of wired magazine, but is it really practical to take them with me? Until now I had saved all of my conference passes, but where would I put them when I move?
Some stuff I have decided to keep in storage and memory boxes. But some stuff just needs to be thrown away. As I clean and pack this week I will be adding photos to this flickr set. I hope you enjoy my random-ness.
